The Great Suspender is a plugin which promises to lower the memory usage for the chrome browser, when many tabs are open. In short, whenever a tab is not used, it changes into a “suspended” state.
I have been using it for a while and even though I am not the kind of person to keep a lot of tabs open – after monitoring the memory usage with specific tools – I would say it delivers improvement.
After using it for a while, I can confirm that the browser’s memory usage is lower with this plugin activated.
Thus, kudos to this nice plugin!
